About the Journal

Uncertainty Discourse and Applications (UDA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal devoted to understanding how uncertainty, incompleteness, ambiguity, and conflicting information shape scientific inference, computation, prediction, and decision-making.

UDA publishes original research, methodological advances, and critical reviews in fuzzy, intuitionistic, type-2, rough, hyperrough, soft, neutrosophic, stochastic, probabilistic, evidential, interval-valued, conformal, and related frameworks. The journal welcomes work connecting these foundations with learning under missingness or distribution shift, forecasting, information fusion, optimization, control, engineering and energy systems, environmental and climate science, infrastructure, operations, finance, bioprocesses, and other domains in which uncertainty materially affects analysis or action.

UDA values research that makes uncertainty explicit through clear assumptions, meaningful baselines, appropriate validation, transparent analysis, and conclusions calibrated to the evidence. Its aim is not only to represent uncertainty, but to make it useful for explanation, prediction, and responsible decision-making.
